Victoria Zambrano '24, former president of Latinos Unidos, began last year's Hispanic heritage month celebration by asking attendees what countries they are from. “Where are my Guatemaltecos at? El Salvadoreños?” she asked the crowd as students cheered when their countries were called.
Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually in the United States from September 15th to October 15th. The month is used to recognize and celebrate the contributions, cultures, and histories of American citizens who come from Hispanic countries.
