Rolling Loud is one of the largest hip-hop festivals and was founded by business partners Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler. It occurs every year in different locations in the United States. It began as a one-day event in Wynwood, Miami, Florida in 2015 and has now expanded to a 3-day festival that stars different artists every year. General Admission tickets begin around $400, and all ages are permitted. 

The 2021 Rolling Loud Festival which is held at Citi Field in Queens, New York included a range of underground artists to hip-hops’ most influential acts in the industry. The festival began at 2 PM on Thursday, October 28th, and ended on Sunday, October 31st. 

Headliners included the popular artists 50 Cent with the special guest Bobby Shmurda on Thursday, J. Cole on Friday, and Travis Scott on Saturday. The performers were divided into the 3 stages: Deleón Stage, Audiomack stage, and Punx Stage.

Apart from the stages, the festival had food stands, merch booths, a cereal bar (a $5 bowl with the choice of cereal with milk), and a Tilt-A-Whirl.

The food stands at Rolling Loud. Included is a cereal bar where, for $5, one could buy a bowl of choice cereal and milk.

On Thursday, the first performance began at 1:55 PM and was the small artist K. Charles at the Deleón Stage, and the day ended with Lil Durk at 9:10 PM. Also on Thursday, Jack Harlow performed on the Deleón Stage with surprise guest, Lil Nas X during the song INDUSTRY BABY. Generally, the most popular artists performed in the evening as the crowd began to grow.

Bobby Shmurda performed at 7:10 PM, performing his hit, “Bobby B****” and many of his other songs.

On Friday at 5:20 PM, “Ski Mask The Slump God” performed on the Deleón Stage. He played his songs, “Babywipe,” “Achoo,” “H20,” “Foot Fungus,” and others. 

At 7:35 PM, the popular artist Lil Uzi Vert entered the stage by performing “200 My Dash.” He then performed the songs, “Do What I Want”, “444+222”, “Money Longer”, “Myron”, “Sauce It Up”, “That’s A Rack”, “Wokeuplikethis*”, “New Patek”, “Of Course We Ghetto Flowers”, “The Way Life Goes”, and “XO Tour Llif3.” 

Kodak Black also performed on the Deleón Stage in front of a big crowd. He performed “Skrilla”, “Transportin’”, “Roll in Peace”, and other hit songs of his.

Trippie Redd was next, performing his songs, “F**k Love”, “Miss The Rage”, “Wish”, “Taking A Walk”, and many other of his songs.

The last performer of Friday night was “Playboi Carti” on the Audiomack stage. He was scheduled to perform at 9:05 after “Trippie Redd” but he performed around 9:30 pm, entering the stage late with his songs, “Stop Breathing”, “Rockstar Made”, “JumpOutTheHouse”, “Off The Grid”, “Sky”, “Shoota”, “ILoveUIHateU”, “Punk Monk”, “On That Time”, and closing with “Over.”

Roddy Ricch performed his songs, “Lemonade”, “Start Wit Me”, “High Fashion”, “The Woo”, “Ballin’”, and of course ending with “The Box.”

Travis Scott performed his hits, “Highest In The Room”, “Escape Plan”, “BUTTERFLY EFFECT”, “STARGAZING”, “90210”, “Love Galore”, “Gatti”, “OUT WEST”, “yosemite, Antidote”, “Sicko Mode”, and his closing song, “Goosebumps.”

Travis Scott, the last act of the entire festival, performs.
