In mid-September, Hispanic student union Latinos Unidos held a launch event for Hispanic Heritage Month, which takes place annually from September 15-October 15. They discussed the importance of cultural identity and celebrated with music, food and dancing.

Senior Victoria Zambrano, the president of Latinos Unidos, began the meeting by welcoming attendees and asking them what countries they were from. “Where are my Guatemaltecos at? E Salvadoreños?” she asked the crowd as students cheered when their countries were called.
