About Us

Welcome to the website of Theogony, the student-run newspaper of Alexandria City High School in Alexandria, Virginia. Theogony is based at the King St. campus, but covers news across all four campuses and the City of Alexandria.

All content on this website is written, produced and edited by students at Alexandria High School. The online edition is typically updated on

a daily basis, and the print edition is distributed at least five times throughout the year.

Theogony has won numerous national awards, including a half dozen Best of SNO awards, which highlight the top articles on SNO sites. Our articles have been covered by outlets including the Washington Post, Washingtonian, Alexandria Times, ALXnow and more.

The staff adviser of Theogony is Kamilah Lawson.
