Every year from late March through mid-April, Cherry Blossoms surround the Washington D.C. Tidal Basin. To celebrate the friendship between the US and Japan, the National Cherry Blossom Festival is held to during the peak bloom of Cherry Blossoms with arts, culture, natural beauty and community.

At the end of January, ACHS’s Chinese Club hosted a Lunar New Year celebration after school in honor of the Year of the Rabbit. The club, open to anyone interested in Chinese culture, shared food, music and Chinese traditions during the event.
